Hills horror show comes to a close
Tom RichardsonJournalistLet’s just say there’s plenty of shareholders happy to see the back of Hills chairwoman Jennifer Hill-Ling after the group said she’d vacate the role on Thursday and retire as a director later this year. Hill-Ling’s near 16-year reign saw 97 per cent wiped from the value of the once iconic South Australian company. On reflection one professional investor told us if there was a banana skin to slip on, she’d find it.
Hill-Ling took the chair from her father, Robert Hill-Ling, on October 28, 2005, when shares changed hands for $4.60. They were 14¢ on Thursday.
