Perth businessman and sandalwood enthusiast Frank Wilson's appeal against a court judgment that branded him "unreliable but highly self-assured" has failed in the West Australian Supreme Court.

On Monday, the court affirmed an earlier finding that he was on the hook for almost $14 million to the sandalwood company he used to run.
