Ex-EML Payments CEO now a strategic adviser
Michael RoddanNational correspondentIn July, Tom Cregan quit EML Payments with immediate effect after 10 years at the helm. His LinkedIn profile now describes him as a: “Heavy metal fan, drummer, kung fu practitioner, investor and ... I forgot, former CEO”.
And perhaps he is wise to push the latter into the depths of his subconscious, given the turbulence at the end of his tenure at EML, which included a Central Bank of Ireland probe over alleged anti-money-laundering shortcomings that demolished EML’s shares from a high of $5.75 to its current 69¢.
