At the risk of quoting the opposition, Angus Taylor has a neat line on Jim Chalmers. He says the treasurer’s PhD is in spin, not economics.

Chalmers’ doctorate is technically in political science, and given few treasurers have been economists, this is par for the course. Still, Chalmers has in his time in office shown nothing if not an eagerness to scoff at the profession, even on occasions when its adherents are being utterly reasonable.
