Bubs questions ousted chief’s expensed shopping trip
Myriam RobinRear Window editorStays at five-star hotels, a pricey massage and a $12,000 shopping spree at Giorgio Armani billed to the corporate credit card are some of the unusual expenses levelled by the Bubs Australia board at ousted Bubs chiefs Kristy Carr and Dennis Lin, as part of what is now a savage battle for control of the infant formula company Carr co-founded 17 years ago.
Last week, Bubs’ board (now led by lawyer and SBS board director Katrina Rathie) was handed a preliminary report prepared by accountancy McGrathNicol for law firm Herbert Smith Freehills. It was tasked with forensically examining the expenses of the company’s former leaders over the 17 months leading up to their termination.
