Bell Group litigation given 'a decent burial'
Craig Sanderson's missive is described in its opening line as 'not so much a judgment as a requiem'.
Myriam RobinRear Window editorIn penning what he hoped would be the last judgment relating to the winding up of the long-defunct Bell Group, West Australian Supreme Court master Craig Sanderson pondered whether it was necessary to "drive a wooden stake" through the company's heart. Or, failing that, move the files "to a secure facility in Roswell ... marked 'never to be opened'".
He settled for approving an application to discontinue the case, with no costs awarded, thereby ending more than 25 years of litigation.
