Fresh from losing its chief executive, chief financial officer, chief legal officer, chief customer officer, chief transformation officer, chief of staff and chairman (all gone since December), Star has now apparently lost its chief suitor.

Hard Rock International on Tuesday firmly distanced itself from any suggestion it had initiated discussions about taking over the sinking casino group. Star had told investors it had held discussions with a local affiliate.
