Few investors could understand the suffocating weight of expectation that comes with having a larger-than-life father like Ashok Jacob.

Close as he was to the imposing Kerry Packer – once CEO of his CPH Holdings and in 2005 dubbed “Packer’s Mister Midas” – he later set up Ellerston Capital, a fund manager of choice for Australia’s rich families. That, of course, included some of James Packer’s mammoth inheritance.
