Nuno Matos is in the process of sacking 3500 employees from ANZ. This has, rather understandably, set off a powder keg within the bank. Due to the sheer scale of the task, occurring at this moment of uncertainty, it’s also being closely watched by shareholders and other corporate CEOs.
But some things slip past without scrutiny.
