Opal Tower: Developers say structural problems are an "isolated incident"

The structural failure of Sydney's Opal Tower was unlikely to dent public confidence in Australia's apartment industry, said developers, even as they double-checked the processes underpinning their own projects.

Tim Gurner, Evolve Development's Ashley Williams and Chinese-based Boill Australia said the "cracking" tower in the Sydney Olympic Park that led to the evacuation of residents on Christmas Eve was an isolated incident that did not tarnish Australia's high standard of construction.
