LiquidSpace about to flow into a wider pool of offices
LiquidSpace, the office-leasing app in which The GPT Group has a stake, seeks to become the Airbnb of commercial office property with an expansion that could tap an estimated 740,000 square metres of unused space in Australian private offices.
GPT took a stake in San Francisco-based LiquidSpace in 2013 and the app, which matches workers with vacant office facilities in co-working sites or with commercial providers of space like Regus or Marriott hotels for hourly or daily periods, has grown since the start of the year alone in Australia to 161 venues from 117.
