Customers spend billions as top centres Chadstone, Broadway win big

Australia's biggest malls have attracted the shopper's dollar even more in 2016, with many centres increasing their turnover during the year despite the threat of online shopping.

The largest shopping centre in Australia, Vicinity and the Gandel Group's Chadstone, took the top gong again in the Shopping Centre News (SCN) 2017 Big Gun Rankings, with a 5.1 per cent increase in turnover to just over $1.5 billion in retail sales in 2016.
