The coming year will be "boring" after a five-year frenzy in Australia's housing markets, with a forecast of sedate house price rises for the major cities of Sydney and Melbourne, SQM Research's latest Boom and Bust Report says.
While there will be a slowdown compared to previous years, the two largest cities will continue to enjoy price increases as investors make a comeback, according to the consultancy's report.
