The “sold” sticker has gone up on the long-time Melbourne home of actor, comedian and screenwriter Jane Turner – best known for her role as Kath in cult TV comedy Kath & Kim – and her husband, secretary general of the International Chamber of Commerce, John Denton.

Landing within the $7.5 million to $8 million guide, the 1884-built home might be considered more Prue and Trude territory than the fictional Fountain Lakes home of Kath and Kim, given the five-bedroom abode is located in the rather “effluent” Bayside suburb of Elwood, where the median house price is $2.13 million, according to CoreLogic.
