Anthony Seeto cares deeply about the environment and climate change. But it was the potential savings on his energy bills that spurred him to install solar panels and a heat pump at his family home in Sydney.

The 22 solar panels and 315-litre tank heat pump hot water system at his place in Chatswood cost $13,700 to put in, but he estimates they have sliced about $160 a month – more than $1900 a year – off his energy bills.
