One of Sweden’s biggest pension funds has made a foray into Australian farmland purchasing a prized cropping operation near Henty in NSW’s eastern Riverina.

One of Sweden’s biggest pension funds has made a foray into Australian farmland, purchasing a prized cropping operation near Henty in NSW’s eastern Riverina.

The Australian Financial Review can reveal that Första AP-fonden, which manages more than 221 billion kronas ($31.5 billion) in assets, snapped up the 16,00 hectare Merri Meric at the start of this year’s spring selling season for just under $7 million.
