NRL superstar tackles developer over off-the-plan homes letdown

NRL superstar Tom Trbojevic can outrun the opposition on the footy field, but a loophole in conveyancing laws has locked him and his family into a fight against a developer to get his off-the-plan homes built.

Trbojevic, best known as Tommy Turbo, his brother Jake and their parents purchased off-the-plan townhouses and apartments in a housing project called Mimosa on Sydney’s northern beaches. But the developer, Knowles Group, the former owner of Australia’s largest private retirement property company, has allegedly used various tactics to get out of its contract to build homes for the purchasers, leaving them with nothing.
