More than 7m homes at risk of flooding: KPMG

A record 7.2 million households live in local government areas that were affected by floods last year, more than double the average of the past decade, highlighting the urgency of investing in critical infrastructure to deal with natural disasters, KPMG says.
Terry Rawnsley, KPMG urban economist, said the number of local government areas hit by natural hazard disasters and the resulting losses would increase.
