Just Jeans founders' $25m Sorrento windfall
Christine and Roger Kimberley, co-founders of the Just Jeans clothing chain, have made the most of a buoyant luxury property market to sell their large cliff-top house on the most prestigious strip of the Mornington Peninsula's Sorrento for a price understood to be $25.5 million.
Mrs and Mr Kimberley, who joined with Roger's brother, Craig, and his wife, Connie, also Mrs Kimberley's sister, to start a jeans-only store in 1970 that grew to a chain of 280 outlets across Australia and New Zealand before they sold it to private equity group Catalyst in 2001, paid $1.36 million in January 1995 for the 5 Kildrummie Court home.
