One of Brisbane’s most significant inner-city development sites on the riverbank has been sold by the federal government's Department of Defence to Taiwanese-backed developer Shayher Group.

The government first flagged its intention to sell the historic, and strategically located, 20-hectare property, known as Bulimba Barracks,  in early 2015, after deciding it was too expensive to maintain.
