The family behind luxury furniture brand Harbour Outdoor has bought a $10.57 million oceanfront home in Maroubra, expanding its footprint in the suburb to give the next generation a taste of the coastal lifestyle that inspired the business.

After emigrating from Greece, master blacksmith and family patriarch Jim Condos opened a Sydney workshop in Botany in 1976 where he designed and built furniture. In 2007, his sons Nicholas and Harrison Condos took the family business to the US, where they now have a flagship store on New York’s Madison Avenue.
