Lang Walker’s Walker Corporation has sold all 336 lots in the first stage of its Appin Valley master planned community in the Wollondilly Shire in Sydney’s far south-west in just on a year. Walker’s director of master-planned communities, Chad Walker, said the purchasers had been attracted to generous-sized lots within 15 minutes drive of a city like Campbelltown. Seventy per cent of the lots were more than 700 square metres and prices ranged from $180,000 to $135,000. Robert Harley
A Melbourne-based investor has bought the First Choice Liquor & Redcliffe Tavern in Brisbane’s northern suburbs for $11.5 million on a yield of 7.27 per cent. The vendor was an unlisted fund set up by Queensland fund manager Harvest Property Group and investment banker Trevor Loewensohn’s Alceon Group. The sale was negotiated by Alex Ham and Michael Gross from Gross Waddell and Philip Gartland from Stonebridge Property. Larry Schlesinger
