Simonds and Metricon pick up Porter Davis jobs worth $350m
Simonds Group and Metricon will take on unfinished home-building contracts worth a combined $350 million from the collapsed Porter Davis Group – about half the number of customers left in the lurch when the company fell into liquidation three months ago.
ASX-listed Simonds said it had been qualified by KordaMentha to take on up to 500 Porter Davis jobs and Metricon said it would take about 300 jobs under a Victorian government process to help customers of the failed construction giant find alternative builders.
