The Tarascio family’s Salta Properties will kick off construction of a $155 million intermodal freight terminal at its Nexus Dandenong South Industrial Estate in Melbourne’s south-east before the end of the year after signing an agreement with the Victorian government

The fully automated intermodal terminal will connect directly to the Port of Melbourne’s $125 million on-dock rail project via a new rail spur coming off the Cranbourne train line, allowing freight shuttles to run from Dandenong South directly into the port. Trucks will have dedicated lanes for loading and unloading freight.
