New Rich Lister and billionaire Sam Arnaout has added another major hospitality venue to his burgeoning Iris Capital pub, hotel and development empire, after buying the Strathfield Hotel in Sydney’s inner west for about $80 million.

The multi-storey venue opposite Strathfield railway station was put up for sale by the Whelan family in May after more than 100 years of ownership.
