Mirvac reaps the benefit of HomeBuilder – and its extension

Mirvac sales are up 40 per cent on the first quarter as the listed developer reaps the benefit of the federal government's HomeBuilder and various state government stimulus programs intended to keep housing construction going through the pandemic.

Mirvac exchanged contracts on 660 homes in the first quarter and as of mid-November – halfway through the final quarter of the year – had already exchanged contracts and taken deposits on 500 homes, the company said on Tuesday.
