Mirvac spent 18 months planning a park that would normally have taken the developer just four. It wasn’t a big park, either – it only measured 4500 square metres in the Henley Brook master-planned community of 840 lots.

But designing Wongin Park in the 44-hectare estate, took longer than usual because of extensive consultation with the local Noongar Indigenous community that set out to achieve something different from the standard park in a housing estate.
