Following a marathon three-month bidding war that pushed the offer price up 33 per cent, Macquarie finally sealed its takeover of Costa Group’s fruit orchard landlord Vitalharvest on Friday.
The trust’s responsible entity recommended Macquarie’s offer over Sydney private equity firm Roc Partners, and Roc said it did not intend to make any further offers.
