Homemaker centre landlord Aventus upgraded its full-year earnings guidance on Thursday as rising house prices and a lack of international travel drove shoppers to its malls in record numbers in the second half of 2020.

“We’ve had more customers visit our centres over the past 12 months – 44 million – than ever before,” said Aventus CEO Darren Holland who co-founded the large-format mall landlord with retail billionaire Brett Blundy.
