Hospitals, data centres boost crane count
Demand for data centres, infrastructure and hospitals lifted Australia’s non-residential crane count to a record 277 in RLB’s latest count of cranes across the country, showing the boost to construction from investment in the growing digital economy and on extra health spending.
Health, civil and civic – public social infrastructure project – cranes all hit new highs in the quantity surveying firm’s Q3 2021 RLB Crane Index, extending the growth in these sectors that builders say is supporting the economy and holding up construction confidence.
