At almost 8 per cent in the case of horticulture, investment yields from leased agribusiness assets are higher than other classes of commercial property including industrial, CBD office and CBD retail, according to industry analysis.
The yield premium from agribusiness assets, except cropping and grazing land, has been around 100 to 150 basis points higher over the longer term than the average prime yields in office, retail and industrial, according to a Colliers International report.
