Goodman takes on unusual role as retail landlord at Fishermans Bend
Goodman Group, best known as a global logistics powerhouse, has added a new string to its bow – that of retail property developer – after beginning work to convert a vacant warehouse in Melbourne's Fishermans Bend into a "temporary" Woolworths supermarket and Dan Murphy's liquor store.
An entire 10,000-square-metre vacant warehouse at 477-481 Plummer Street, previously leased to Austpac Logistics within Goodman's Port Melbourne Industrial Estate, will be re-purposed as a full-line supermarket and bottle shop, including a designated click-and-collect area.
