Melbourne development and construction business Hickory has diversified into data centres, headhunting key staff to run a dedicated operation and buying land in western Melbourne for its first facility.
Company director Michael Argyrou said Hickory Data Centres has evolved quickly and construction of a 36-megawatt data centre on a 3.5-hectare site at Truganina will start later this year pending development approval of plans before Wyndham City Council.
