Heading out of town on the Ipswich Highway, in Brisbane’s south-west, stands the first facility established by National Storage REIT ’s Andrew Catsoulis . Located behind the Oxley Hotel, it was built 20 years ago on land owned by the family of the property trust’s managing director.

After the hotel was sold – it had been transformed by Catsoulis’s father from one of Brisbane’s roughest pubs into one of its most highly valued – Catsoulis puzzled over how to use the vacant land the family retained.
