550 more rooms: Mantra bulks up in Melbourne with two deals
Mantra Group has announced two new hotel signings in Melbourne, less than a week after striking an agreement to merge with French giant Accor in a $1.3 billion game-changing deal for Australia's accommodation sector.
In the first of the two deals, the ASX-listed group will operate a new 250-room hotel under its Mantra brand as well as manage the letting of 180 serviced apartments within M-City, a $1 billion mixed-use development in Clayton, in Melbourne's south-east, being undertaken by the Saraceno Group and its joint venture partner Schiavello.
