Listed residential developer Devine has appointed the former chief operating officer of CIMIC Group's Leighton Properties, Andrew Cooper, as its new chief executive and installed David Robinson as its new chairman.

The appointment ups the ante for control over the Brisbane-based developer with CIMIC now owning just over 59 per cent of the company, competing with private investor Lyn Brazil who has increased his stake to more than 17 per cent.
