Cedar Fair, the owner of seven amusement resorts including Knott's Berry Farm, has agreed to buy the Paramount Parks unit of CBS Corporation for $US1.24 billion ($1.65 billion) in cash, to add five operations in the US and Canada.

Bear, Stearns & Co would provide $US2 billion in financing for the deal, Cedar said in a statement.
