Electrolux moves house
Leading whitegoods group Electrolux will move its Sydney operations to two new facilities: one in Moorebank, to be developed by the Australand Property Group on behalf of the ING Industrial Fund, and one in Mascot, to be developed by the Macquarie Goodman Group. The Moorebank building, on the corner of the M5 and Moorebank Avenue, will house Electrolux's warehouse, distribution and service operations for NSW. The total area will be 16,000 square metres. Rental of $1.83 million will provide an initial return of 8 per cent. The Mascot building, on the corner of O'Riordan and Coward streets, will house the new head office for Electrolux Home Products Australia. The deals follow an extensive search by the Electrolux commercial services team assisted by Deloitte property consultant Bill Kerr. Electrolux Home Products managing director Trevor Carroll said the move signalled the group's commitment to the Australasian major household appliances market. Robert Harley
