Southcorp may prune its wineries

Southcorp has begun a sweeping facilities review to determine if it should sell or shut down any of its 12 wineries, as it pushes to lower its cost base.
The troubled winemaker has appointed an internal team to review the wineries as part of a cost-cutting drive dubbed Project Veraison after the grape-ripening process that occurs before harvest.
