The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is poised to investigate whether an alleged cartel in the corrugated box market between Amcor and Visy extended into markets for plastic bottles and cans.
Cadbury Schweppes made the accusation of a bottle and can cartel in a $120 million lawsuit against Amcor, filed on Friday. The claims are expected to trigger further examination by ACCC investigators.
