The first head-to-head event of the Queensland election campaign did little to change perceptions that voters have been let down badly by their lacklustre political leaders.

In the first state election since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the quality of ideas from both Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington have left a lot to be desired over the past 3½ weeks.
