NuCoal loses as NSW cancels tainted licences

NSW will cancel without compensation coal exploration licences worth tens of millions of dollars issued in corrupt deals linked to former Resources Minister Ian Macdonald and MP Eddie Obeid.
The licences for Doyles Creek Mine currently owned by listed NuCoal Resources and for Mount Penny and Glendon Brook owned by Cascade Coal will be extinguished by special legislation, NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell announced on Monday.
