Normandy more attractive to predators with $130m profit

Normandy Mining has kept itself firmly under the gaze of potential foreign predators with a strong final quarter, ensuring it remains on track to report a record annual net profit of close to $130 million.

Normandy's latest production report showed Australia's biggest gold miner was producing at annualised rate of 2.2 million ounces at a total cash cost of less than $300 an ounce by end of the quarter as several several mines reached full capacity.
