Queensland recorded one new COVID-19 case overnight on Sunday, after a man in his 20s, who is already isolated in hotel quarantine after returning from overseas, tested positive.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the man was aboard Jetstar flight JQ790 from Sydney to Maroochydore, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, on Friday, July 31.
