Victorian Opposition Leader John Pesutto says a “turning point” has been reached after the party agreed to expel Moira Deeming by 19 votes to 11.

Liberal MPs hope Ms Deeming’s expulsion will allow the party to move on from a damaging saga sparked by her attendance at an anti-transgender rally in Melbourne where neo-Nazis performed the “sieg heil” salute.
