Maximus Resources (MXR)
Luke Forrestal
Cash-strapped junior explorer Maximus Resources has put a suite of assets up for sale as it fights for survival. The company had just $148,000 in the bank at the end of March. Among the assets Maximus is selling are the high-grade Bird-in-Hand gold project in South Australia's Adelaide Hills, which has a mineral resource totalling 237,000 ounces of gold, the Windimurra uranium project and Ironstone Well gold project, both in Western Australia, and other gold exploration tenements in SA. Bird-in-Hand had been the company's most promising project, but it said it was now looking to focus on assets with nearer-term production and revenue potential. Maximus is retaining the Sellheim alluvial goldmine in northern Queensland and the Windimurra-Narndee base metals project in WA. It has been selling gold nuggets from Sellheim over the internet since November last year.
