One of the last Liberal MPs left standing after the WA election has warned the party is doomed to remain in the political wilderness if it is seen as being dominated by evangelical right-wing Christian churches.

David Honey, who held his seat of Cottesloe as the party suffered its worst-ever election wipe-out on Saturday, is backing a comprehensive review of what went wrong and the way forward.
