In early 2016, a fundraising delegation left the ALP’s NSW headquarters, crossed the harbour bridge and headed for North Sydney.

Among the group that day was Labor’s then shadow treasurer Chris Bowen, its newly appointed NSW general secretary Kaila Murnain and state upper house member Ernest Wong.
