The appeal by Joseph Gutnick's private family company over the payment of $28.5 million to Great Central Mines' shareholders has made its way back to where it started.

The High Court yesterday allowed Australian Securities and Investments Commission's appeal from the Full Federal Court in the Yandal litigation.
