Hong Kong trading group John Swire and Sons has now acquired 50.1 per cent of Papua New Guinea trader Collins & Leahy Holdings Ltd, after three weeks of intense sharemarket activity.

It has bought out the 37 per cent interests of chairman Sir Danny Leahy and managing director Mr Michael Bromley. But the two are staying on to manage the company. Swire also obtained 10 per cent held by BT.
